As an encouragement, there are already hundreds of Tea Parties planned for July 4th - as well as the weekend before and after the 4th, and as we can see on May 28th in Hartford! Get involved with your local Tea Party. Write a letter to the editor or call in to one of the local radio stations about the Tea Party in your locale or organize and provide logistics or go to your local capital and support the group there. And BE ENCOURAGED that this is going VIRAL. We must continue, as they cannot eventually ignore us:

Are you sure we can pull large numbers in the middle of the week?

I can probably make the first half of this.

Good to see you at the “Down With Dodd” Rally on Saturday, BTW.

It is time to act. There is another Tea Party at the State Capital on THURSDAY at 11AM till 1PM.

The State Congress is in session, and holding a rally on a weekend when Congressmen and women are sitting home and sipping latte is meaningless. NO ONE SEES IT, Especially the people who NEED to see it!

THAT is why we are holding the rally on THURSDAY, THIS THURSDAY in the daytime, in the middle of the day, from 11AM till 1PM

Because Congress is in session and they Will SEE the Patriots who showed up and realize: They are surrounded and cant get away this time!!

If the loss of a day’s pay in support of freedom is such a burden, just think of the loss of a weeks pay in inaction to the CAP AND TRADE that COnnecticut is trying to pass, the rise in Ct Employees medical benefits, in Union kickbacks, in expanded social programs and in increased taxes on your gasoline!!

What is more important? Losing a day’s pay? Or losing 3 weeks pay in increased taxes if we DONT SHOW UP???
The COnnecticut Legislature needs to HEAR FROM US, THAT WE AREN’T GOING TO TAKE IT!!

Tea Party Rally
THursdy, May 28
11AM till 1PM
State Capital

Subject: DOUBLE DUTY ON THURSDAY, MAY 28
Date: 5/23/2009 4:24:36 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time

FIRST DUTY.................Tea Party Protest Rally on the north steps of the State Capitol.....similar to April 15
11 AM to 1 PM. The link for more information http://site.hartfordteaparty.org/

SECOND DUTY............
Bridgeport, CT— Congressman Jim Himes will host a town hall meeting Thursday, May 28th at the Pequot Library in Southport to launch his Smart Progress for Connecticut initiative. The Congressman will outline his plan to create jobs and make smart investments to prepare Southwest Connecticut for long-term economic growth. He will announce a legislative and constituents service agenda focused on progress in four key areas: transportation, health care, education, and green energy. The public is encouraged to attend and share their thoughts with the Congressman on how to bring Smart Progress to Connecticut.

WHO: Congressman Jim Himes

WHAT: Town Hall Meeting to outline Smart Progress for Connecticut initiative

WHEN: Thursday, May 28
6:00-7:30 pm

WHERE: Pequot Library
720 Pequot Avenue
Southport

The event hasn’t been widely advertised – we suspect the organizers expect to fill it with Democrat sycophants to make it comfortable for the newcomer.

Please join us there to challenge him on every aspect of the socialist agenda he’s been voting for and supporting since he took his seat for the first time in January. Be prepared with questions, but also be ready to ask good follow-up questions to the illusions he’s likely to pass off as responses – follow-ups can be most devastating to a charlatan’s presentation.

Please come – let’s pack the place and send him running back to his caucus with a reality check from we-the-people!!

Thursday, May 28th at 6pm

Pequot Library

720 Pequot Ave

Southport, CT (just off exit 19 on 95)

RSVP the library 203-259-0346

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Southport&state=CT&addres...

We know this an awkward time. But as an incentive to all our Dump Dodd supporters and any friends you may bring, we will be offering a Pepe’s Pizza Tailgate party commencing at 5 PM in the Pequot Library parking lot.

Please RSVP here so we can get an accurate count. The Pepe’s Pizza will be delivered from Fairfield. You are encouraged to bring your own beverages. Adult beverages are neither suggested nor condoned.

Usually these Town Halls are attended by about 50-75 people. If we could get a large percentage......say 25% or more to participate, we may really have some fun controlling the questioning.

You make a good point in losing a days pay verse several weeks if your tax rates continue to rise. I hope you get a great turn out.

Hi Biggirl!

I know. It's unfortunate this type of consumption tax is not The Fair Tax. The Fair Tax is not a VAT. It will only impose tax at the point of sale.

You folks are going to run out of tea at this rate! Keep up the pressure as time and resources permit. God speed in your cause, and to all the honest similar causes cropping up around this nation.
