The world desperately needs Benedict's model of reconciliation.
Jerusalem
Most Israelis seem to agree that the pope's just concluded trip to Israel wasn't a raving success. Far from healing wounds, his address at the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum garnered harsh criticism for failing to adequately address the horrors memorialized there.
I see the visit in a much more positive light.

POPE, PING! :-)
Will both side keep on fighting? If yes no success! If no don’t hold your breath. This has been going on for thousands and thousands of years and will for many more because family feuds are that way!

Whoops...that should be Yad Vashem
Thank you! :-)
He did advocate that the Covenant land be divided for “peace,” in his very first public statement upon arrival in Israel. Any student of Biblical prophecy, let alone a pope, should know the consequences of doing such a thing, and that there will be no peace. We as Christians should oppose such a thing, even though prophecy tells us it will happen.
The only way I can see that this pope could be acting in accord to God’s will, is if he is acting to hasten His return. Even then, dividing the land will have dire consequences for all involved. Going against God to support God, by dividing the land, thereby bringing about prophetic conditions for His return? Intentionally? Is this possible? The notion is very discomfiting to me.
