There does come a time, tho’, when issues become such that they are no longer “disagreements” between gentlemen that can be uplifted or dropped at will. Issues eventually get to the point where a Clash of Wills becomes inevitable, where lines are drawn and sides taken. Shortly thereafter it is War, during which it is not possible to be positive about one’s own side without being negative about the Enemy’s.
Is the issue of Abortion at that point yet? I don’t know: I’d prefer to think that gentlemanly discourse can yet rule the day. And then I saw this harmless Catholic priest at Notre Dame University being man-handled by thugs in uniform, and I am no longer quite so sure...
I will say that after watch Fr Corpi and Fr Groschel both of them very recently said that we are in THE PERSECUTION.
Not a persecution, but THE persecution.
