How many 'too late smart' epiphany's have we witnessed lately? And this one now on economics. Many Americans have lost their Jobs, and Democrats continue to stumble and bumble over economics. Why not tell the truth?

They are stressing the economy more, during a recession, to further a Democrat Socialist agenda. Because that's more important to them then if Americans can find work.

And just what is the One suggesting we do about his obscene level of spending spending and more spending.

Somehow it sounds as tho he is blaming us for his out of control spending.

He talks the talk

but he is definitely not walking the walk

he continues spending taxpayers money like it grows on trees.

So he's probably setting up the reasons why all taxes will need to be raised.

And there is the real crux of the speech. Look for taxes to go out of sight, which is the only way Obama can achieve his wealth redistribution.

'We can't keep on just borrowing from China,' Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. 'We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.'

Holders of US debt will eventually 'get tired' of buying it, causing interest rates on everything from auto loans to home mortgages to increase, Obama said. 'It will have a dampening effect on our economy.'"

Upon signing the stimulus Obama said this:

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that I will sign today, a plan that meets the principles I laid out in January, is the most sweeping economic recovery package in our history

The change in pronouns in the two statements is noteworthy. Obama sure shifted from "I" to "We" in a few short months!

Sorry Barack, you OWN this!

Not unlike a black preacher who over reaches by “God told me to do this hugely expensive outreach program”. Then scolds the church members because they don’t give enough money to fund the programs. “You’re robbing God!”
(Obviously not just black preachers do this, it just happens I am involved in one of these churches)

Rush must losing a step

Obama telling us our spending is out of control is just his way of having a fall back position to raise taxes the likes we have never seen to pay for it in the future

He's doing a CYA “I told you so”

Yup. No use for him anymore if there’s nothing to spend.

Whenever a Democrat starts sounding all fiscally conservative, hold onto your wallet. It certainly never involves spending restraint, outside of decimating the military. "Peace" is suddenly declared, hooray!, and then these fools proceed to spend even that "dividend" on wacky, no-strings-attached social programs. No strings for anyone but beleaguered US taxpayers, that is, who are on the hook for as long as they remain productive, even ten years after renouncing citizenship, even beyond death.

It brings to mind a modern "prophecy" that I read in late 2005 (I collect them off the web and watch to see if there is a genuine prophet among them ... very few candidates thus far). This old fellow reported a vision, of Washington, DC being invaded by men on chariots, in ancient armor ... Centurions. Humorless, vile, cracking whips and enslaving the populace, which was being completely and utterly subdued.

“if the US continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries”

Obama did not throw himself under the bus, he is warning of major tax increases that Americans will have to finance the debt, not China.

News Flash...5-14-09
Today, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, the President of the United States held his own one man Tea Party protesting his own outrageous spending policies and that of the federal government.
The MSM gave no more coverage to his protest than they did to those who protested barely a month ago, but several news agencies are anxiously waiting for Hollywood notables to out him as a racist for not supporting himself. Some news agencies tried to contact various administration officials for comment and were told that they had no comment at this time.
One member of the MSM, requesting anonymity, was quoted as saying that "the POTUS was just a teabagger after all" and that "the thrill was gone".

This event has only added to my sleepless nights ...this is the pronouncement to increase taxes massively. He also proclaimed loudly that he has no intention of cutting any entitlements. There was also a telegraphed message that he intends to increase FICA to extend to all income, all income.

The insanity of creating a problem to demand a solution goes beyond any understanding or ability I have to deal with it. The absurdity of it all is something I that just makes smoke come out of my ears and blood run from my eyes.

The reference to the “Blazing Saddles” scene where Bart takes himself hostage and wonders how stupid the sheeple are is almost perfect. The media falls right in line.

We are doomed if we simply sit here and take this. Will the first shot be fired at Concord, NH or Concordia, Kansas?
