You said — To some people, the truth is a virus.

Yeah, including some here on this thread... LOL...

Ya know... there are FReepers reporting infections from Drudge’s website, too...

Asked why the conservative-leaning news aggregator and President Barack Obama critic was flagged by Internet security officials, Tracy Schmaler, a Department of Justice spokeswoman, said it was because “a malicious code was found contained in a Web ad on Drudge.”

BS .... government systems have all kinds of neat ways using proxies and other technology to scrub pages and defend systems against attacks.

I;ve spent time up there and the media is in total blackout mode.

I remember once I left down here and drove up there , the next day I sat in front of a TV to watch the news there and by word the news was so biased, they twisted the news, they left out parts, they made up parts and yet the MA people had no clue to what really is going on up there.

My mother in law is up there and she was talking to my wife when she mentioned about the train driver causing the crash because of texting.
My mother in law had no clue that the man was a woman who got hired because he was classed as a minority based on the sex change

The media had left all of that info out and the people up there had no clue why he sorry she really was given the job etc.

sad, I wish some rich guy could take over the news channels up there and had them report the news and then told the poeple up there what the Dems /left/homos are really about.

Sounds like that to me also.

This will likely enhance curiosity about drudgereport.com, at least from employees’ home computers.

You said — Sounds like a rumor Drudge may have started to boost traffic.

Well, the virus attack on Drudge is more than a rumor, as other FReepers are reporting it, too...

Of course, I just tell them to get a Macintosh. I don’t have problems with those pesky infections, even on Drudge, which I access all the time...

REALLY

I drove up to CT last week and took the blue ridge mountain route which was nice.

I got to PA and thought I would settle down for the night and have a few beers to help to get some sleep.
When I asked at the TA and other places to get a beer they looked at me like I had a chicken sitting on my head

government systems have all kinds of neat ways using proxies and other technology to scrub pages and defend systems against attacks.

Unfortunately these are reactive systems to known vulnerabilities - not perfect against all future attacks. And the number one vulnerability is the user.

I don't doubt this is a political move, but they picked a good excuse, especially for Drudge. He's needed to clean up his site for a long long time.

Prove it!

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

US Attorney’s are political hacks regardless who appoints them. Truth and justice are not really their concern - just doing their master’s bidding.
