(Hopefully the feed from Notre Dame will work well!
Please note that AIPNEWS.com is linking to a feed provided by Tea Party Live.)
The audio problems seem to be fixed and Dr. Keyes is speaking with Stan Solomon.
Well, I didn’t get this up in time for many to hear Dr. Keyes being interviewed there, but they did say they are archiving it for later listening.
We’re hopeful that this live stream is going to be going mobile as the witnesses for life move onto the campus shortly. Actually, they’re scheduled to head over there right now.
It may be overleaded, I can’t get it to play...
Looks like they’re shut down for the moment. I wish I had gotten this posted earlier. The interview with Alan was excellent.
We’ll see what coverage we get out of them in the next little while.
I’ve got people on the ground I’m talking with by phone as well. I’ll try and post any information I get.
ping yer list?
I’m planning to swing by the adoration chapel this evening. I think only God can stop this now.
The protest is up LIVE right NOW!!
The protest is up LIVE right NOW!!

Thanks, am tuned in, wish I was there with them.
Following is my letter to Fr. Hugh Cleary, CSC (Fr. Jenkins' Religious Superior) with CC to the Holy Father.

Dear Fr. Cleary,
I wonder if you were aware of this most recent information which has just become available, which is of concern to you and to all Catholics:
(1) Fr. John Jenkins serves on the Board of an organization, the "Millennium Promise," which raises private funds to provide contraceptive and abortion procedures in their "Millennium Villages" program (the following is a direct quote taken from their handbook, http://www.millenniumvillages.org/docs/MVP_Handbook_complete_18jun08.pdf page 92):
"Services include: (1) Counseling; (2) Male and female condoms; (3) Pharmacologic contraceptives including oral, transdermal, intramuscular, and implanted methods; and (4) IUDs."
The handbook continues with an encouragement for "safe" abortion: "In countries where abortion is legal, safe abortion services in controlled settings by skilled practitioners should be established."
This is direct support for intrinsically evil actions prohibited by the Moral Law.
(2) The text for the Honorary Law Degree being awarded to Barack Obama, just released to the public, contains the following praise for Obama's "dedication to human rights and the global common good."
What part of Obama's "human rights" record does Fr. Jenkins want to honor?
His allocation of U.S. taxpayer funding for abortions around the world via overturning the "Mexico City Policy"?
His support of coercive sterilization and abortion via funding for the UNFPA, which in turn collaborates with China in its mandatory one-child policy? (Father, this is not even "choice.")
His strong criticism of the SCOTUS decision upholding the partial-birth abortion ban?
His opposition to a bill which prevents the killing of infants inadvertently left alive by abortion? (Hes got a real Consistent Ethic here: he supports trashing babies pre-partum, in partu, and post-partum.)
His statement that the one thing he regrets, was voting (with a unanimous Senate) for judicial review in the case of an innocent disabled woman sentenced to death (Terri Schiavo)?
What about human rights issues most championed by Peace and Justice supporters:
Torture? Obama supports the rendition of prisoners to countries which practice outright atrocities: the knives, the pliers, the electric shock. And opposes the release of info which would allow the American people or the American courts to determine whether crimes against prisoners were or were not committed.
War? Obama's committing troops to Afghanistan to fight against entities unspecified in a Declaration of War.
Conscientious Objection? (The phrase "Primacy of Conscience" is very important to Catholics concerned about Peace and Justice): Obama's HHS is rescinding the "conscience clauses" which protect doctors and nurses from having to act against their professional and ethical judgment.
This would protect them from being penalized for refusing to become accomplices in procedures like abortion-infanticide-euthanasia-suicide, which have irreversible, hugely disproportionate destructive consequences on the young, the frail, the disabled, and the poor.
My point here is that Obama has no record for supporting human rights, either those which are most vocally supported by Catholics concerned about the Right to Life, or even those most promoted by Catholics concerned about Peace and Justice.
So... Notre Dame is honoring Obama for Human Rights?
Which ones?
This scandal has become like a septic wound that just keeps bleeding and oozing.
Fr. Cleary, this has to stop.
Your 13-page letter to Barack Obama, which I have read carefully, addresses his offenses, but does not in the least address Fr. Jenkins' offenses and those of the Fellows and Trustees of Notre Dame in bringing this most grievous scandal upon us.
I urge you to immediately teminate Fr. Jenkins' permission to serve as President of the University of Notre Dame, and suspend him a divinis, removing his right to function publically as a priest.
I do not see why this should not also apply to all the CSC priests who presently serve as Fellows and Trustees of the Univrsity, inasmuch as they have authorized Fr. Jenkins to carry out these scandals, and have voiced no objection whatsoever.
I pray that Our Lord will give you the strength to do what must be done to limit these grave evils and discipline those responsible for them.
Sincerely and respectfully,
[signed]
UH-OH, did security shut down the camera live feed?
Nothing right now.
The last pic I saw before the live stream shut down was a dozen burly cops straddling the sidewalk blocking the path.
I am told that at least briefly Fox News was covering it live.
on again
