I am sure it will be welcome to truckers. From looking at some of the websites associated with the project (http://www.norpass.net/, http://www.bestpass.com/home/), it appears to be of the same stripe as other vehicle identification systems.
My point was a technical one, not a convenience one: the information that the transponder sends is not particularly trustworthy, not that it isn't convenient.
We are being integrated so that the UN vehicles can have free range.
This sounds like another part of the plan that goes along with the fenced fields, the stockpiles of “coffins” in the SE United States, the stockpiles of white vehicles and other individual reports made here in the forum the last couple of years.
