Got it, I misunderstood you - but can’t you get a doctorate in the subject of Philosophy?
Yes one can earn a Ph.D in philosophy. You major in philosophy, fulfill the course requirements and write/defend your dissertation successfully. You will then have a Ph.D in Philosophy. Might sound like redundant terminology but that’s the way it is.
