They can run, but they can't hide.

As Rush said earlier, “Dick Cheney gets results”.

And why won’t their base let them?

Republicans can’t “demand” to investigate Pelosi, so why is this story about her getting coverage? It has to be because the White House wants it to. -Rush

It appears there are more democrat hands in the pie than Bush officials.

Ooops, a little too much lying. A lie too far? Anyway, I wonder how MSNBC and CNN will spin this embarrassment away. probably by just never mentioning it.

Steny Hoyer is about the only Dem right now with a smile on his face.

He’s got a good chance at that gavel, and a lot of support from his party to take it.

I think Hoyer would be a huge improvement over Pelosi.

Oh hell yeah, no doubt he will.

The Dems know she is going to hurt ‘em come 2010, her face will be all over our campaign slogans. I think the top leadership is looking to get her out from the front now.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence chart released earlier this month shows that Pelosi received a briefing in September of 2002 where she was given a description of interrogation methods used on a suspected terrorist prisoner.

SURPRISE Pelosi has claimed a different recollection of the briefing. “Trying to understand what she was told is almost impossible, her story changes almost every day,” said one Repub legislator.

DRIP DRIP DRIP Pelosi's gone from saying (1) she was never briefed about waterboarding, to saying (2) she was briefed about it’s possible use as a future technique, to saying now, (3) she knew it was happening but chose not to protest....

So Nancy, when you and the stupid Dems gonna start the lawsuits? We all can't wait to hear the testimony.

Maybe we oughta waterboard Pelosi to get the truth out of her? Watta figging liar......lying and lying, figuring national security briefings could not be released.

Thank God the rug was pulled out from under her lying carcass. I would imagine that's also why Obama reluctantly released pics from the flyover stunt AFTER the WH coverup (when he asserted he would not).

Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
When we aim to deceive!

This is almost, almost as much fun as watching Pakistan melt down.

Drip, drip, drip. Nance isn’t the only one, either. The Dems’ public line was that we got into the war through misrepresentation and haste but the documentation says otherwise. Pass the popcorn...

Dick Cheney + FOIA = getting the right info in front of the public

He KNOWS what is there, what is available, and how to get it.

Did'ja notice the story line in Criminal Minds last night, anyone? They stopped a bio attack of designer anthrax and the closing dialog was about keeping the public in the dark about how many attempts there were. We see someone in protective gear taking the spores away to a state-of-the-art wall vault. The camera then pans back a la The Matrix and you see a corridor filled with these vaults seeming to go on and on and on. Not exactly a story line that supports the Obamateur's stand on things, was it? That alone made it stand out.

Well we do have something from the Washington Post....guess this is a blog of a reporter:

Post Politics: Waterboarding, Cheney, Detainee Photos, More

Lois Romano
Washington Post National Political Reporter
Thursday, May 14, 2009; 11:00 AM

********************************EXCERPTS***************************

Pelosi Question: When is the Washington Post doing on investigating what Pelosi knew about waterboarding and when? She seems to say one thing and her aides and CIA seem to say another. Sounds fishy one way or another. I would just like to know what the answer is. Who is right?

Lois Romano: I dont know who's right- but I'm sure various news organizationns are looking into what she knew and when she knew it.

****************************snip****************************

Pelosi?: Why is Pelosi so much more guilty for knowing about torture than the Bush Administration is about administering it?

Lois Romano: Its not guilt or innocence. Its accountability. If she opposed it, and she knew about it, one could ask why congress did nothing to try and thwart it. Even if it was a classified briefing, congress could have help up funding. Thats where its power is.

*************************************snip****************************

Pelosi: Forgive me for being obtuse, but I can't seem to understand how the alleged knowledge Pelosi may have had regarding waterboarding lets any Republicans off the hook.

Seriously, conservatives have now adopted the "strategy of the switch." What better way to shift focus from torture being approved by President Bush than by claiming somehow Pelosi knew too, as if she had any say in the matter.

Really, is this what the Republican party has been reduced to?

Lois Romano: It doesn't let anyone "off the hook." But, the question being asked is, if Pelosi knew and opposed the t6actic, why didn't she try to stop it. While she did not have line authority to stop it, she did have some influence over the budgetary process that funds it.
