Not a euphemism, that’s their name (and it’s what they call themselves). See my previous post. A well recognized group of troublemakers. Henry VIII had trouble with them.

There's a group of travelers here in the US based in South Carolina.....

They have their own very upscale community and marry only within......

The fleece, con and steal throughout the SE US.....predominately, roofing jobs, driveway repaving, etc. They prey on the elderly and simply slap a quick coat of cheap paint on the roof, driveway and charge exhorbintant rates.

They go by the name, the “Travelers” which is what LEO’s call them as well.

Google it I'm sure you will find out quite a bit more...

Travelers is the name used for those here in America, of Irish descent, that move around preying on people, doing shoddy home repairs and ripping people off in many ways.
