WASHINGTON President Barack Obama says the detainee abuse photos he wants to block from release are "not particularly sensational" and would do no good if published. He said he will not tolerate abuse of prisoners. But he also said Wednesday he had directed his legal team to fight the court-ordered release of the photos because he was concerned about how they might affect the safety of U.S. troops.
Obama spoke on the South Lawn of the White House, not long after his decision to fight in court to block the photos' release was made public by aides.

I guess they were only useful if they were sensational.
That WH dinner was 'torture' to many of us, Pres_ent Obama.
Here's one with Jennifer Loven by your side.
I think the reason he doesn’t want them to come out is because there isn’t anything there.
As long as nobody sees them, they (the left) can continue to talk about the “horrible treatment” prisioners got. But if the pictures come out and they don’t back up their assertions, it will cause the liberals to fall on their face.
“are ‘not particularly sensational” and would do no good if published.’”
I predicted this on another thread today. He is really disappointed there is nothing there. Then he could “do good.”
I came to this thread with the lone hope that someone had a picture of a 4-legged midget peddling backward.

Very, very interesting point.
I’m wondering if he got sandbagged by the folks who actually knew what was in the pictures. Led him along that there was stuff CBS would plaster all over the news for three months. Then he took a public position. Then they let him know what was actually going to be there.
Did anyone hear President Obama refer to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs as Admiral MullenS?
Wait a big hairy minute, What ever happened to the couple hundred or so “torture photos” that Obummer was going to publish over the strenuous objection of the former Bush administration, the CIA, other Republicans, etc., not caring if it roused a new uproar amongst our Talibuddies?
Is that like going to K-MartS
Or his legal team will “sandbag the case,” and intentionally lose. The photos are then released and he gets it both ways.
The implied accusation is all he needed to damage people and give the left all the sound-bytes it needed.
As always, I wonder what else he was up to while this kerfluffle was using up airtime and column inches.
We all know how sensitive and easily offended the Islamofascists are .. THEY would find the pix ‘sensational’ enough to riot beyond the Danish cartoon level. That is the concern right now, not the left (there IS a (very)slight difference between the two groups).
Either the military or the CIA has the really juicy goods on obuma, and one or the other read our ghetto president the riot act.
Checkmate, poser.
For those who don't get it...Idget is a Southern term for idiot.
