Dick Cheney expressed this same concern. But he was insulted by the Left for stating this.

I am always hopeful that the weight of responsibility will bring some good decisions.

Kind of different to bitch and moan when you are on the outside looking in...then when you now are in charge.

Bambi gets a clue.

It finally dawned on Obama that he would be held responsible for any American deaths and injuries resulting from release of the photos. Our troops in the field, our embassies and consulates, US businesses abroad, amerrican tourists, etc. could well become targets. And Obama would have a hard time blaming this on Bush. When the rubber meets the road, Obama doesn’t want to held responsible for anything.

He’s accomplished his purpose. Now he doesn’t want the actual photos out to show that the abuse was mostly things like putting panties on the head or such. After all, if they are not public, people will imagine worse.

Wait just a minute here. It is my understanding that 0 has to go to court to ask that the court reverse its ruling to release the photos.

And if the court refuses and orders them released anyways? Voila! 0 gets his way and has no responsiblity at the same time.

Slimeball.

My theory is that he still wants the photos released, but wants it to look like he does not. Just like I think the bailouts were intended to fail. Obama wants the government to control the banks, but needs it to look like it was a last resort.

I am inclined to agree that it is indeed amateur hour in the White House... a Jimmy Carter Jr.without the intelligence.

Thus, the creation of the idea that President Obama is “magnanimous,” that he is willing to listen to and work with both sides, that he cares deeply about our troops, etc... Of course, this still leaves the former administration in place as the Obama Administration’s whipping post.

Quite brilliant as a political ploy to make hay with — some Conservatives will actually buy it... Kathleen Parker for instance. David Brooks — you know, the usual suspects...

Just following which way the polls go, the safety of our soldiers are of no interest to this administration

Sounds like a scam to me. The administration will have to fight (and lose) in court to come out looking innocent.

Sneaky bastards!

That Obama ever even considered such a damned fool action tells us that much more about him, an action that would have put US armed forces members at risk so he could posture and pose before the world (and mostly our enemies) as some great moral conscience and change agent.

But we still have that speech in Egypt to look forward to, I guess. What a _____ he is.

Releasing those photos is an act of treason.
