LAHORE: The grand mufti of Egypt has invited US President Barack Obama to address Muslims around the globe from Egypt’s Al Azhar mosque – one of the most important mosques in the Muslim world.
Al Masri Al Yawm, an Egyptian state-run newspaper, said Grand Mufti Ali Gomaa and other clerics from Al Azhar University invited Obama to use the mosque as the venue for the president’s upcoming visit, “explaining it would promote a culture of dialogue between Islam and the West”.
It is highly unusual for a non-Muslim to speak at the mosque, according to World Net Daily news website, and an Egyptian official it contacted could not think of any non-Muslim world leader who had previously received an invitation.

I lived in Cairo 3 years. Last time I went to that area of Al Azhar in 1999 with my family in the car, we were pelted with rotten fruit by muzzie thugs on the street. I had my wife and 3 children in the car. I was frightened for the faily’s safety and embarrassed for the Egyptians. The bottom line is that the islamic accepted standard of conduct around infidels like me is awful. These people are just creeps. There is no other explanation. Can you imagine driving past any other religious institution’s building and having something like that happen to a family? Muslims are awful and it is their religion that makes them psychotic.
