And most of his viewers are the captive audience at airports and other such places where the sets just run CNN.My vision of Hell, or at least Purgatory, is waiting forever for my delayed flight, unable to escape the horrific torture of loud CNN monitors all over the freeking airport.

I should sue my company for giving me stupidity poisoning everytime I need a cup.

"My vision of Hell, or at least Purgatory, is waiting forever for my delayed flight, unable to escape the horrific torture of loud CNN monitors all over the freeking airport".Sounds like a "Twilight Zone" take-off on Jean-Paul Sartre's "No Exit". It starred John Astin and a bunch of people in a waiting room yakking away. That's what I think of when I fly.

My wife was called up for jury duty recently in Collin Co., Tx.
When she got there, they had two monitors running CNN in the room where everyone was waiting. She went up and asked that one be put onto Fox News.
They refused (both being fed off of one tuner it seems), so she told them she would be waiting outside the door.
I love this woman...

I have lived that hell. I never wait near the gate.

Anyway, the airport bars usually have sports on their TVs, unlike the ones in the main terminals.
Cheers.

Once, a few years back, before I had a car with a CD player, much less one with satellite radio, I was driving from one end to the other of a rural county. A road, lots of hills and lots of trees. No clear AM stations came in, so I decided to try some music.
Unfamiliar with the stations in the area, I hit 'search' on the FM band. For many, many, many miles the digital dial kept landing on the same station: NPR.
Thank God I had some cassette tapes. Even silence would have been preferable to those smug, soporific saps on NPR.

(When more than 98% of the Republicans on Capitol Hill vote against a bill, it is not bipartisan.)
