Obama got elected largely because of white guilt on the part of the non-ideological, apolitical "mushy middle". This means his favorability foundation is tenuous at best.
A few in my circle of friends who voted for him are being very quiet, not really interested in talking politics. He's embarrassing them, pure and simple. His support is a house of cards, and will tumble soon.

Also Majority of the media covered for him and never did any negative reporting on him. He is still fawned over by the media. It truly is disgusting.

I overheard a conversation between an African American grocery clerk and a white customer while waiting in line a couple of months ago. The customer was all for Obama and the clerk was uneasy about him. The clerk said she didn’t like Bush all that much, but she was liking what Obama was doing even less. She didn’t go into specifics, but she said that she was willing to give him a chance to improve since he had only been in office a short time.
I didn’t talk to her about politics when my turn came up. I figured I really didn’t need to since she seemed to be paying more attention to him than most. I’m not sure what the general concenus is among his implied african american base, but if this clerk is any example of it, he’s in some trouble.

I get the impression that a lot of people in the "mushy middle" voted for Obama because they it would be cool to have a black president and to show that they weren't bigots. These people weren't really paying attention to Obama's views or his radical background and association with radicals. Now they are surprised at how far left Obama is.

Your statement is very true. He is embarrassing many people who voted for him.
