An honest question here. Since all the pressers have been so controlled (knowing who would be called on, what they would ask, etc) does anyone think that the WH knew in advance what would be said at the dinner? If so, who in the WH thought it ok ?
..most of this type of event is usually directed at the President himself....Bush got it good,Reagan got his, missing in this case, was the "guest" speakers humor directed at Bambi, they figured he could make fun of himself. The chucklehead hit a few points...but it was up to him. Sykes racial comments were OK, since she's black, (something everyone wants to avoid), if a white comedian said anything remotely close to race....it would have been an issue. I think most of the comedians who speak are free wheeling it..no censor, in Obama's case, there is no need to censor.
