I agree. However, I do feel sorry for the graduates. They work their bums off to graduate - the pinnicle of their 4 years at Notre Dame. Then the "Big Zero" swoops in and takes it all away.
The Big Zero is a selfish excuse for a man.

Well said. I couldn’t agree more. Everyone loses except the thing we voted into the WH.

I would be hesitant to use the term “man” when describing zero.

Don’t feel sorry for them. This will be more memorable to them than any run-of-the-mill graduation. Some of them will have truly graduated to a different place.

I do feel sorry for the graduatesI don't. This is a great opportunity for them to display what they have learned in four years, and make their first act as graduates one of principle rather than self-centeredness.

I don't feel sorry for them! I envy them the golden opportunity to show the world what it really means to be Catholic -- to self-lessly stand up against evil. We should never regret any opportunity we have to sacrifice what is ours for sake of the good in the battle against evil. The martyrs gave up much more than a commencement, and as a result they changed the world.

This Notre Dame fiasco should be a wake-up call to high-school students who contemplate studying in a truly Catholic university. Choose carefully!
