Colon Powell was never of any interest to the Democrats until he was in a position to be an embarassment to Republicans.
Had the Republicans never given Powell a chance, he’d be sitting at the bar at some VFW most afternoons.

They never investigated the roll he played in the 27 Inf Div in Vietnam. I wonder why? He is an affirmative action general and an opportunist for sure.

Yes, exactly and he would have retired as a Lt. Colonel with the smaller Pension. He would not be getting BIG BUCKS for making the same "CANNED" speech to foolish people all across the country. Yes Powell owes everything he has today including his status to the Republicans and he knifes them in the back.
