What was Wanda Sykes thinking? Perhaps more to the point, what was President Barack Obama thinking when he laughed and smiled as the comedienne wished Rush Limbaugh dead?
Although the Left is reporting her White House Correspondents' Dinner speech as "taking shots" at Limbaugh and mocking everyone, that's a gross misrepresentation of what turned into a hateful and disgusting diatribe.
She then concluded: "Rush Limbaugh, I hope the country fails, I hope his kidneys fail, how about that? He needs a good waterboarding, that's what he needs." Obama seemed to think this bit was pretty hilarious, grinning and chuckling and turning to share the "joke" with the person sitting on his right.
There's not much room for differing interpretations of what Sykes said. She called Limbaugh a terrorist and a traitor, suggested that he be tortured and wished him dead.
What was his crime? Hoping that Obama's policies - which he views as socialist - will fail.
That's way, way beyond reasoned debate or comedy and Obama's reaction to it was astonishing.
Hard to take from the man who promised a new era of civility and elevated debate in Washington.

And Hannity needs to have a fundraiser for the children of cops killed in the line of duty. One of Obama’s budget cuts gutted the fund

And unfortunately, they are the only ones to really report it.
I hate this man. I never hated Clinton I was disgusted by him, but I hate his man.

With all this full bore attack on Rush Limbaugh from the left, beginning with Obama calling him out by name ( unprecedented by a POTUS)...
I seriously begin to wonder when Limbaugh will have had “enough” and pull out the nuclear option...that is, begin asking, on air, about the birth certificate, the college records, the ‘cauterized’ passport. Create a buzz that cannot be ignored.
Start the dialogue out front and relentlessly.
Holding their powder, for whatever mysterious reason ( perhaps sponsors would pull out, microphones would go quiet?) has not served conservative radio at all—Obama is more emboldened than ever.
And he is an unaccomplished, high riding fraud—merchandised and packaged— deployed to engineer fundamental altering of this country.
And we stand by the sidelines in disbelief.
What would they say if Rush was to make a comment about sickle cell?
std ACORN tactic...the community organizer in chief ‘wants dead’ (or at least choked by piano wire) each and every one on George Soros’ enemies list! AIG, Bankers, Abstinence promoters, gun owners, stockholders, in general, anyone tainted in the slightest by growth, capitalism, or any of those traditional values that have made this country great!
I think Hannity should allow himself to be waterboarded. But he needs to challenge olberman to be teabagged by anderson cooper.
Oh yes there were. Some very pointed ones too. Sykes had 0bama squirming and very poorly camouflaging his anger.
I particularly liked when she was talking about how great it was that he was the first black President. "But if you screw up it'll be 'that half-white guy. Who voted for the Mullato?'" She said it for a laugh but that is exactly how the left will act. They will throw 0bongo under the bus with the vilest of insults.

There has never been a greater argument for the forced resignation of a “President”, EVER.
This is the most shameful moment in American History imaginable.The Left has done it, but this is where they have always been tending. Their influence and mumbo-jumbo reached critical mass last year, and somehow a punk-demagogue got elected to fulfill the role of the most powerful man on Earth. It’s a very odd, and sad world we live in, when there are at least ONE HUNDRED MILLION people in the US who could do us proud, far prouder than this rancid cipher of a man, and political ideologue.
I am positively STUPIFIED at how far we have allowed ourselves to be dumbed-down and intimidated, and brainwashed by the shoddiest rhetoric and the most fatuous
abstractions of “idealism”.But it’s happened, it’s happened, and we are all paying for it, and will continue paying, paying dearly, until he is GONE.
It is an honor to be disliked or even hated by some people. One of the nice things about being an adult, I tell my children, is that to some extent, you get to choose who will dislike you. The mock-humor/personal attack at the dinner makes Rush stand out in contrast more clearly as a good and decent man even to people who are not inclined to be dittoheads. Obama is going to wear thin over time, even if every media person in the White House continues to take a cue and chuckles when he chuckles, frowns when he frowns, and laughs when he laughs. It will all get old, and that is when the administration will have to lean more toward “ruling” through fear.
Reverse the celebs on this, would anyone be laughing?

Has anyone else noticed that Obama has no sense of humor? It must be a sign of megalomania. At that pre-election laugh-fest with McCain, Obama was out of place. McCain was very funny, and Obama was wooden.
And yet, he finds this funny.
Telling. Very telling.
I’m sure Barry laughs at Rahm’s jokes, too.
