You're right. The comedians say what they're going to say. Although, I do remember that Cedric the Entertainer made a comment about some of his material getting cut - he's a blue comedian from what I understand.

However, Imus like Colbert and others really stuck it to the sitting president. Not this time. Even the website "TMZ" described Sykes' performance as well as the whole night as "sycophantic".

It will be interesting to see what happens next year, and what comedian is picked. Although, I can't think of one comedian, except for maybe Dennis Miller, who isn't a bed-wetting liberal.
