Because I guess even the Only Ones(TM) can recognize a well-built and functional piece of equipment.

Btw, it’s not a BMG. It’s a Barrett rifle.

The BMG is the century old, hundred+ pound Ma Deuce. Barrett just took match-grade versions of its cartridge and designed bolt-action and semi rifles around it.

Bottom line...safety. I think if there's a gun being manufactured in Tennessee, as long as it's a safe gun I have no problem with it," says Sen. Beverly Marrero, (D) Memphis.

HUH?? Quick, somebody check to see if hell is frozen all the way to the bottom or just a few feet down.

A quick scan of Ms Marrero's online political profile page shows a very obvious lean toward the far left side of the political spectrum. It's so rare that it's almost unbelievable to see a liberal Democrat from Memphis, which has a large, active bloc of liberal black Democrat voters, giving her approval to a conservative-backed pro-gun bill. She appears to be one of the typical limousine liberal politicians who routinely advocate the most liberal viewpoint on most issues in order to get the votes of low income voters, while they themselves enjoy the lavish benefits provided by their wealth, social status, and a privileged lifestyle paid for by the American taxpayers.

All of which makes it even more incredible that she doesn't object to the pro-gun bill in question. Who wudda thunk?

The M82 was the original Barrett rifle, designed in 1982. It became the M82A1.

The A2 is a discontinued bullpup, and the A3 is a newer version of the A1 (only difference I know of is a very long picatinny rail on top). There’s an experimental A2 (bullpup) replacement called the XM500 that holds 10 rounds.

The bolt action versions designed in 1990 and 1995 are called the M90 and M95.

But the most common Barrett rifle is still the M82, sometimes called the M107 (military version).

FYI: The 2nd Amendment is SELF-incorporated to all government entities at every level. It is MORE ABSOLUTE than the 1st Amendment, or any of the others, because the wording forbids not only CONGRESS, but ANYONE from infringing on it. The 1st says “Congress shall make no law...”. The 2nd say “shall NOT be infringed!” Period! End of debate!

Tenth Amendment Ping!

Things are happening in Tennessee!

Tomorrow (May 9), the legislature will vote on the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. This proposed law is very similar to the law exempting firearms manufactured and kept within the state from federal regulation that was recently enacted in Montana.

Barrett firearms are big guns manufactured in Tennessee and are among the guns in the Congress sights in HR 1022 to be banned. http://www.barrettrifles.com/ Now you have one more reason to move to Nashville.

It appears this bill has enough support to pass.

The column of newly freed ex-slaves walking behind his army stretched for miles.

You left out the part where he destroyed his bridges, leaving them to deal with the supervision of the pursuing Confederate cavalry. The slaves of Georgia fared no better than her citizens in the march to the sea.

You left out the part where the newly freed slaves had the choice to follow the army or not.

For the first time in over a hundred years, The slaves of Georgia fared no worse than her citizens in the march to the sea.
