BERLIN (Reuters) - The United States has not provided Germany with enough information on inmates at Guantanamo Bay for Berlin to take a decision on whether to accept any of them, Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble told a German newspaper. [snip]
Asked to list his criteria for accepting inmates, Schaueble said, "First, are we sure that these people do not pose a threat because this a worry of many citizens here. Second, why can't the United States take them on? And third, do they have a link to Germany?"

LOL—”Your papers are not in order.”
I love this! The Euros didn’t need “adequate information” in order to lament about the conditions at Guantanamo. but now suddenly when asked to take some responsibility themselves, they plead ignorance.
What a bunch of sanctimonious hypocrites!
I'm not going to take em', you take em.
I'm not going to take em', let's get Mikey!
Hey Mikey!
I don’t blame the Germans. Would you take a bunch of terrorist prisoners if you didn’t have to?

Yes - Islam
I DO blame the Germans.
They are one of the countries who complained about Gitmo, and one of the reason the terroists are being released. They should be forced, by whatever means, and I mean WHATEVER MEANS, to take some. We could just parachute a couple of the most dangeous right into the middle. So should France. So should Russia, It’s a looooooooooonnnnnnnggggg. list.
Of course, O=ZERO got us into this problem by his rash, uninformed, and plain stupid promise to close the current facility.
The problem is simple. These detainees are truly combatants in a war. They happen to have had no uniforms, no clear command structure, and thus are not entitled to special treatment afforded by the Geneva accords (which, IMHO, should not apply; and if they do, we should scrap them). Al_Qaeda does not abide by the Geneva accords, so their fighters are not entitled to its protection.
However, we can treat these prisoners them as enemy combatants in an on-gong conflict, and they can be held just as long as the conflict continues. That means, as long as Al-Qaeda and it offshoots are around and have not surrendered or dissolved, we can keep these enemy combatants locked up. That is the obvious, natural, legal choice, and the one which protects our country and people.
I is beyond foolishness and into the realm of insanity to think that these enemy combatants deserve lawyers and a normal legal process.
I think that they terrorists should be dropped into O’s district in Chicago, and penned in. They would feel right at home there.
Now that you mention it I remember when they complained about Gitmo. Maybe we should kick their arses... again.
Good gawd, , ,that is MY community as well as yours, and let me assure you, I in no way think it our civic duty to acdept murdering death cult thugs into our community.
No way.
What's to worry about? Get with it.
Some U.S. soldiers lost their lives or were wounded in the effort to capture the Gitmo terrorists. Now Obama is setting them loose so they can threaten us again, and more U.S. soldiers will get killed or wounded trying to re-capture them.
These are the same solidiers who, when they return home, are considered “suspects” by Obama and his Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano. They are all volunteers.
It’s time for young Americans to stop volunteering to die in vain.
