THIS is not a wind up a car lover has made the world's tiniest motor from a POSTMAN PAT children's ride. Perry Watkins has previously entered the record books three times for having the world's lowest car or Flatmobile as he calls it.
But now he has turned his mechanical talents to making what he claims is the world's SMALLEST car.
And amazingly it was the popular children's television character that inspired his fully street legal creation.
The 47-year-old said: "I searched on eBay for something suitable, and found a Postman Pat coin-in-the-slot children's ride from a vendor in Scotland.
"It was in non-operative order, but for what I had in mind, this was of no consequence as I only wanted the bare fibreglass body from the ride.
"This meant the unceremonious removal of Pat and his black-and-white cat Jess, the money box and sundry other bits and bobs."
He reinforced the shell with a steel frame and mounted the body on a powerful mini quad bike.
