To: Sub-Driver

Yeah, we need to chart the various versions of the story.

1. “I was never briefed”.

2. “Okay, I was briefed, but they never mentioned they were actually doing it.”

3. “Okay, they mentioned they were actually doing it, but they told me it was legal.”

It just keeps getting weaker, too. Now her claim is, in effect, that she had no moral qualms about waterboarding as long as a lawyer told her it was legal.

What a hack!
