AND.....

.....the shot with the Statue of Liberty does not explain buzzing "Ground Zero".

And the scenery is not blurred by the jet exhaust.

We have all flown on commercial planes, and in many lighting situations, it is fun to watch the plane's shadow on approach. At 1000 AGL there should be a shadow on a bright hazy day.

(Just being a good sport and letting them hastily open PhotoShop for another pass.) They'll get it right next time.

Good one! I blew up the 350Kbyte shot and could see no sign of the refraction you get around hot exhaust.

I’m not sure about the shadow, looking at the flagpole on the ground, the plane shadow may be out of the frame.

But what lousy resolution!

If you look at the pic posted here of the fighter jets, you can see the exhaust blur of the top plane against the building.
