Wesleyan Student Shooting Suspect Surrenders (Targeted Jews)

For two days, Wesleyan University feared becoming another Virginia Tech as police conducted a nationwide manhunt for a man accused of stalking and killing one student and threatening to kill more.

But the crisis came to an abrupt end late Thursday just 10 miles from campus after suspect Stephen P. Morgan saw his photo in a newspaper and asked a convenience store clerk to call police.

Officers found him standing peacefully outside a Cumberland Farms store in south Meriden. They took him to the ground, then walked inside to tell the startled clerk that Morgan was the man wanted for the killing of 21-year-old Johanna Justin-Jinich at a campus bookstore in Middletown.

"I got nervous and I started crying," Sonia Rodriguez said. "I just got very, very scared."

I also note your criticisms of Israel and Israelis. Considered, and not untrue. You may find a few people could bring up some omissions… the bombing of a children’s hospital in Lebanon killing over 50 children, and the recent shooting of a 10 year old boy accused of throwing stones come to mind.
The fact that you can only find Israelis guilty of being a little cantankerous in the face of these obvious other transgressions is the reason I find your comments so utterly offensive. By all means remind us all of the equally despicable behaviour of the Palestinians if it suits your sense of propriety...but if we’re ever going to see an end to this problem it will be when the Israelis and their supporters start focussing on their own misdeeds (as should the Palestinians) instead of showing such blatant disregard for anyone or anything that is not of their own ilk.”

Looks like the police let him shave after they took him in. My guess is that he’s a Muslim convert.

It was reported that he was wearing a disguise in the surveillance photo. The picture aired in a local newscast showed him as a clean-shaven young man with very short hair. His sister made a plea that he turn himself in and he did.

Nothing in the news report or the blog says anything about nationality so it could be a different person. Sort of like the name of my old girlfriend, Sue. Her surname was so common just in the Chicago phone directory (before the advent of the Internet by Al Gore /s), it might as well have been Smith or Washington.

A Californian I knew tried to find some cousins back east in Connecticut with the same name, Morgan. So many of the folks actually were her distant relatives that it cost her a small fortune in long-distance charges because everybody wanted to chat with her.

See the youtube video at my post #7. He had a heavy beard at the time of his arrest. I guess his lawyer or somebody prevailed upon him to shave for the press photos.
