>>Sen. John Forbes Kerry has spent the week futilely trying to prop up two of his oldest, dearest friends - the Boston Globe and a convicted kiddie-porn pervert named Wade Sanders.
Got your curiosity yet? :)
For those not familiar, Howie Carr is a Boston Herald
columnist and talk host on WRKO-AM in Boston and several other stations in New England. (Several of these stations
stream; the show runs 3-7 pm Eastern time on weekdays). His
columns sometimes are of local interest only but he often
addresses subjects that everyone here can identify with
and wish to read about.
More info on him (he also wrote the bestselling book
The Brothers Bulger)

There is a weekly Howie Carr ping list here at FR; FReepmail me to join.
I have been urged to post solitary threads on some columns which are of national interest—and which are just that damn good!
That's how we found you too, Lurch. You stinking traitor to your country.
What is the origin of the Liveshot nickname?
Good job!
BUMP!
A liveshot of course is when a reporter stands up at an event, for example, and delivers a live report. Kerry LOVES being on TV so he inserts himself into every liveshot he can, IIRC.
Thanks for the ping!
Yup! Howie has mentioned that!
And of course Howie occasionally plays a soundbite of someone saying “Do you know who I am?” (It’s taken from the Godfather. Moe Green, played by Alex Rocco, nee Alex Petricone—a one time gangster himself—says angrily to
Michael Corleone, “Do you know who I am? I’m Moe Green.
I made my bones when you were going out with cheerleaders.” So that’s where it came from

It’s Bush’s fault.....unbelievable.
Hope this is just the tip of iceberg that will soon be evident to all.
BTTT
Kerry is a useless piece of debris.

Vietnam comrade Wade Sanders to intro Kerry
By Otto Kreisher
Copley News Service
2004-08-14
Thirty-eight years ago, when they both were young Navy officers and a bit naive, Wade Sanders and John Kerry shared pizzas and beer and became friends while training in San Diego. Their naivete vanished, but their friendship deepened when both later commanded swift boats on dangerous, but seemingly senseless, missions in Vietnam.
Thursday night, Sanders joined a dozen other graying men who had shared Kerry’s Vietnam combat experiences in helping to introduce the new Democratic presidential nominee to the nation.
It was by now a familiar role for Sanders, who had supported his friend’s successful campaign for the nomination and, more recently, has tried to shield him from the attacks of other veterans angered by Kerry’s high-profile opposition to the war in the early 1970s.
“Many people are displeased with John Kerry’s protest against the war. I have no problem with that. We honor them as veterans,” Sanders said in a recent interview. “But they have used half-truths to discredit Kerry.”
Sanders, who stayed in the Navy after Vietnam and retired as a captain in the Navy Reserves, approved of Kerry’s protest of the war, which both had concluded was sacrificing young men in an poorly run and unwinnable conflict.
Sanders had gone to Vietnam before Kerry and already had lost a crewmember. He told Kerry shortly after his arrival in country from swift boat training at in in San Diego: “What we’re doing is really crazy... It’s not what we thought it was going to be at Coronado.”
After his active duty Navy tour, Sanders became a lawyer in San Diego. He served as a deputy assistant Navy secretary for reserve affairs for former President Bill Clinton. While in that office, he helped lead an effort to restore a sunken swift boat as a memorial to the thousands of sailors who had served and sacrificed aboard those lightly protected craft.
Kerry and Sanders joined with other swift boat veterans in the “Last River Run Reunion” when the memorial was dedicated in 1995 at the Washington Navy Yard.
My tagline re 0b0z0 would probably be appropriate for Live Shot Moi Kerry.
Kerry’s other good friend and godfather to one of his girls, Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary would today be described as a sexual pervert.
Yarrow campaigned with Kerry in 04.
I know, what are the odds that two of Kerry’s good buddies would be deviants ?
” ( Yarrow )Pleaded guilty to taking “immoral and improper liberties” with a 14-year-old girl back in 1970.
As reported at the time, the girl and her 17-year-old sister went to Yarrow’s hotel room seeking an autograph. Yarrow answered the door naked
and made sexual advances that stopped short of intercourse.
The 14-year-old resisted his advances but did not call for help.
Yarrow served three months of a one- to three-year prison sentence
and was pardoned by Carter in 1981.
Peter Yarrow was married to the niece of Democratic Senator Eugene J. McCarthy at the time of the pardon. “

“And what about the music on Kerry’s bus?
Before the Iowa caucuses, Washington Post reporter Ceci Connelly described the candidate
hanging out on the bus with Peter Yarrow, his old friend from Peter, Paul, and Mary.
“Pedro, sing us a song,” Kerry ordered one day.
Yarrow picked up a guitar and began to play and sing and later waxed nostalgic
about the antiwar rallies he attended way back when with Kerry and Eugene McCarthy.
Earlier, Connelly wrote, when Yarrow sang “Puff the Magic Dragon” at an event in a private home in Ames, Iowa,
“Kerry lifted his fingers to his mouth for a quick toke on an imaginary joint.
You can almost see his thick mane of silver hair returning to the shaggy brown do of those days.”

Wade Who? ;-)
old news it seems , still a heartbeat tho, and not even news to almost all the MSM
Thank God he wasn’t a Republican.
Thanks for the heads up, IT
Bumpin’
Thanks for the ping. I hope that Hanoi John Kerry (actually, his wife) doesn’t buy the Boston Globe. It’s bad enough as is, and hopefully, dying.
