There isn't any argument. You made a false statement and I corrected it. I didn't say anything about what it does or does not mean.

Now that you bring it up give one example where it has been ignored. Or is that just more bull you're slinging off the top of your head?

That fact was tangential to my main point. When you corrected it, I said it still didn’t matter since my main point stood, and responded with some snide comment implying that I was ignoring all facts.

If you want one example of where some people raised the objection and no one cared, look at the case of Chester Arthur.
