McCain is a digusting human being. The others in this sleazy story are far worse but McCain helped give us Obama.
We could have had in order of good to bad Fred, Mitt, Rdy, Huckabee. The minor candidates like Tancredo, Hunter, Keyes and Paul were all good men too and probably better than the others except maybe Fred.
But as McCain was the son of 2 US citizens, he was a “natural born citizen”.
Why is this on Huffington Post? Is this the left doing a shot across O’s bow for not stopping the wars, not helping gays fast enough, etc etc.

When McCain was born, it certainly was.
As it happens, though, McCain wasn't born in the Canal Zone anyway. He was born in a hospital in Colon, Panama.
Doesn't change anything. He was born of two full-fledged American citizens -- thus is a "natural-born" American, himself.

Being born on US soil is part of the requirement

I went through this issue when I needed to get my passport over 40 years ago. My father was an army brat, born in the Philipine Islands while his father was stationed there. I had to wait for the “powers that be” to decide if my dad was a natural born citizen, as if affected how my passport was issued.
He was born to 2 American citizens over the age of 18. Yes he was a citizen.
H’s a citizen but not natural born. He wasn’t born in the US. Obama isnt natural born since one of his parents was a foreigner.
