HuffPo Blogger Gives Detailed Financial Advice to John Edwards' Mistress

There are many elements of tragedy about the John Edwards scandal story currently being unfolded again in public, and on Oprah, due to the publication of his wife's (almost) tell-all book. However, let's face it, all this renewed attention to the foibles of John Edwards is sure to cause yet more late night comedian jokes. And perhaps the funniest bit of comedy yet is the unintentional humor provided by Huffington Post blogger, Henry Blodget, who provides financial advice to Edwards' mistress in such excruciating detail as to be highly comical. Keep in mind when reading Blodget's blog entry, "The Business Of Revenge: How John Edwards' Rielle Hunter Should Respond," that he is dead serious and did not intend it to be satirical, although that is the way it comes off:

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and no woman is more scorned right now than John Edwards' mistress and likely baby-mommy Rielle Hunter.

In her new book, Elizabeth Edwards blasts Hunter as "pathetic." She slaps her with the famous Clinton diss, "this woman." She delusionally chalks up her husband's attraction to her to the fact that Hunter is "different" than the good old-fashioned Edwardses, and tells a preposterous tale of the stalking and seduction:

Elizabeth Edwards is worse then Rielle Hunter. She stayed with the dog and is now trying to blame Hunter.

The Edwards are both slimy lawyers and Mrs. E is as bad as her hubby.

But of course there will be no jokes about Barack The Clueless. Next to the media the current crop of comedians have their lips so tightly clenched against Obama's ass that a crowbar would be needed to release them. They really are beneath contempt. Next to the groveling and slavish media comedians belong in the same traveling freak show as Hollywood.

I felt that way about Elizabeth until I watched her on Oprah this afternoon. How many options does a terminally ill woman have. For all her sins she has paid dearly. I can't imagine what goes on in the mind of a woman who has had to bury a son, deal with a disease that will more than likely take her before her children are raised and deal with a husband that broke her heart and humiliated her in front of the whole nation. I saw a broken human being today who I could only feel piety for today. I tuned in today thinking I'd enjoy the scandal.

Oh it is very sad. She married the smary jerk and they are both attorneys. I just see a Democrat operation here by Oprah doing O a favor to try to rehabilitate the Edwards clan.

Edwards screwed Hillary by staying in to help Obama. Oprah is a DNC and Obama operative.

Rielle Hunter is no hero but she is the little person here and they are trying to make her into the bad guy.

I agree with you about Rielle Hunter, all I'm saying is given Elizabeth's condition she's stuck with John. She isn't going to put her young children through the lousy effects of divorce when her own future is in doubt. I don't think for a minute Oprah's interview did a bit of good for the ambulance chaser, if anything he came out looking like a an even bigger cad.

I may have some difficulty raising much sympathy for the lawyer wife of a sleazy lawyer politician hawking a tell all book. I am sick of slime, no matter how it’s posed.

I hear you. My heart went out to her before. She was betrayed by her husband when she was sick.

It seems like a common thing for politicians and sadly two RINOs did it as well. Kerry I think dumped his healthy wife. McCain and Newt dumped sick wives. Newt is not totally RINO but fairly RINO. I think both McCain and Newt’s wives were sick. Rudy also dumped his wife but she was not sick.

The woman who is a fool is Spitzer attorney wife Hilda or whatever her name is. She should dump him. She is still attractive too.
