I’m an American after the tradition of the Founders. Today’s Republicans and Democrats have nothing in common with those values or with me.

All of you “conservatives” keen on quitting the GOP, be gone! The rest of us will stay and fight to return our party to its rightful owners. We have no use for the cut-and-run crowd.

LOL, not sudden....I heard him say it way back on Huck’s show, and since then.

GOP is “overspending?” That’s news to me.
And all this time I thought it was Obama and the Rats that controlled everything.

As I have been saying for months. It’s NO longer about the BIG “D” OR “R” after your name. There is a growing movement guys and if you miss out, you miss out. They are all corrupt in Washington. Get on the bus guys and gals, the train is leaving the station.

This is why I know so many Conservatives who are registered “Independents” or “Decline to state”. They are all disgruntled conservatives who are as disgusted with the County Club Republicans as they are with the communist Democrats.

Puke. Joe knows how much the all-Republican federal government spent 2000-2006. As if the Democrats are the only big spenders. Baby Bush and his congresses proved the Republicans are just as bad — they just spend the money up instead of down.

Try using the word opportunistic.

Plumbers know much more about economics and the long-term health and viability of the United States, than the career-politican moderate Democrats, currently infesting the Republican Party.
I think all of us know what a train wreck the GOP is turning into. Wurzelbacher is late on realizing this, but if a plumber's apprentince can recognize what many of us here already knew, then I suppose anybody can. I notice his fanbase has dried up rather rapidly, even before he ditched the GOP.

Oh my, and actual acrticle kind to Joe the Plumber.

“But he [Joe the Plumber] also said he wouldn’t support any cuts in defense, Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid....”
Ummm....double you tee eff mate? He’s an FDR/Lyndon Johnson New Deal/Great Society conservative?
You can’t make your name by calling Obama a socialist then come out and say hands off the main US socialist institutions such as SS, Medicare/Medicaid.
The congnitive dissonance of people like Joe the Plumber is what makes the GOP look like a bunch of dolts and specifically why the MSM gave him all the airtime he could eat. He should have been pushed off the stage by Republican leadership before he got out of hand.
I am sure he is one hell of a plumber but a policy wonk, PR expert and political scientist he is not!

He's just a symptom of the problems with the GOP, and if anything represents too many Republicans these days. I've always thought he was an idiot and didn't understand why people fawned over him, but it's getting harder and harder to find Republicans who actually believe in a smaller and more limited government.
I am sure he is one hell of a plumber but a policy wonk, PR expert and political scientist he is not!
If he was one hell of a plumber, he wouldn't have had any problem getting his certifications in order so that he could actually practice as a plumber and not merely a plumber's apprentice.
