Spring flooding has been a real disaster around here this year. What a mess. I've had to park my vehicle a couple miles away from home and go the rest of the way home by boat for the last month and a half now.
Plus it's a 150 mile detour around the flood zone to dry roads in order to get to work every day.

Hopefully the road will be re-opened in a week they say, unless we get heavy spring rains, which isn't uncommon this time of year. Normally the ground is dry and is able to soak up a lot of it, but with everything saturated the way it is now, any substantial rain will only raise floodwater levels and prolong our misery.

My sympathies ... closest we have here is the lake reaches the flood level. Haven’t seen any roads washed out fortunately.
