I wonder if Chamberlain felt the same way when Hitler seized the rest of Czechoslovakia in 1939.
Actually, I was wondering how Chamberlain felt he became the poster child for appeasement... 60 some years later... we still remember that photo of him waving the piece of worthless paper...
In it he acknowledges that the only alternative left is to stop Hitler by force. But he also opines about how he couldn't imagine having done anything more or different that would have been more successful in the events leading up to war.
