" There are other potential and likely nominees whose names have been thrown in the mix, such as Jennifer Granholm, Elena Kagan, Diane Wood, and Seth Waxman. Theyve all been rumored to be on Obamas short list, but none fulfills the criteria above so closely as Sonia Sotomayor. With the added pressure that Obama will feel from Latino and female interest groups, Sotomayor will feel not only like a qualified choice, but politically, a safe one. Of course, though, this all is contingent on an absence of skeletons in the Sotomayor closet. What the Obama administration cannot weather, at this point, is his Supreme Court nominee stepping down. His team better make sure to do all of their homework this time. "

I bet Sotomayor for $500, Alex.

Zero will not pick a closet lib hiding out in rural parts of the country like David Souter.
His pick is predicted to be an in-your-face liberal from an urban environment as they have so much “empathy”.
Probably a Latino, but could be a female. Liberals are all about race and gender, and it will be done in a way to dare the GOP to fight them.

The wikipedia article on her all of a sudden has her as a political centrist. This is not true...

“Get used to this face...”
NO, PLEASE, NO.
First Ruth Bader Ginsburg, now Sotomayor? This is both cruel and unusual.

It could be Oprah too. NOTHING would shock me. LOL.
To: Doogle
Agreed. It is SICKENING how wikipedia changed overnight saying Soto is a centrist. Which is a huge hint she will be the falsemessiah’s choice.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg + Sotomayor + PMS =bad rulings

I don't know about the whereabouts, but I can say this with a certain amount of certainty:
His choice is fer sure out of the closet.
Supreme Court Justice Homosexual “Gay” Poofter coming our way.
If he goes all the way, it will be a female black lesbian to hit all of the PC requirements.

I can’t help thinking he will pick a muslim.
I’m so numb from everything he’s done already I probably won’t even blink.

Excellent observation!
I will amend my prediction:
Supreme Court Justice Muslim Islamofacist Homosexual/Lesbian Gay Poofter coming our way.

We are so conditioned to one outrage after another that I wonder what the final outrage will be and if anyone will even be paying attention when it happens.
If they are conditioning us with such harsh items already, I shudder to think what will come later.

The Wall Street Journal called her a “liberal”; the Free Congress Foundation, a right-wing think tank active in judicial nomination battles of the 1990s, called her a “judicial activist.” [13]. Rush Limbaugh attacked her on his radio show. [10] A senator put an anonymous hold on her nomination, blocking it for over a year. Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy called the length of the hold “disturbing,” “petty,” and “shameful,” also noting that at that time, “[o]f the 10 judicial nominees whose nominations have been pending the longest before the Senate, eight are women and racial or ethnic minority candidates.”[
