Zionists in 1871? I don’t believe that there was such a movement until the late 1800’s (1897 was the first World Zionist Congress, inspired by Herzl’s reaction to the 1894 French treason trial for Alfred Dreyfus, a French officer who was Jewish). Jews didn’t really start large-scale immigration to what was then called “Palestine” until the early 1880’s.
