Do you consider everyone who runs for office several times and loses every time, as “accomplished nothing”? Given the caliber of people who do get elected these days, I’d say Dr. Keyes is in a better company having lost.

Given the caliber of people who do get elected these days, Id say Dr. Keyes is in a better company having lost.You know, there was a time when I kind of liked Keyes. That ended after the Iowa caucus in 2000. Keyes finished an unexpectedly strong third (IIRC) and attributed his "victory" to "Almighty God" (his words). Made me shudder to hear it and changed my view of the man permanently .
