A guy I worked with had this happen to him last month. A neighbor girl, about 12 years old, called 911 and said she was alone in the house at 10:00pm and there was a man outside. She gave my co-worker’s address. He ended up with cops and guns at his head. They quickly established that this was a prank call but did nothing about it. It seems this is today’s dangerous version of “Is your refrigerator running...” prank call.

I think people who make false claims like the story in the original post and yours should be jailed for a time equal to the maximum possible jail time the person they falsely accused would be facing if the charges were real.

The Duke rape case liar should be facing triple the max the guys whose lives she tried to destroy were up against, as there were 3 false claims. .

In nearly all places in the U.S. the address shows on a 911 call for a land line. She must have been using a cell phone.
