I think the Depression was Great before FDR. But on the other hand, Hoover was no conservative. He was the most activist President in history up to that time.

I just ordered this book. I have a feeling it will only reinforce my current sentiments on the subject, but it can never hurt and I imagine it will be relatively easy to understand (which is good for any new comers I come across who may be interested in the subject). Austrian economics definitely needs more exposure.
