Yeah, contracts are important to follow or be sued. Contracts in a viable, thriving business. Bankrupt company employee contracts are null and void usually under court orders. If not that would mean they very people who ruined the company would come out ahead of creditors.

Had AIG been allowed to fail and go bankrupt there would not have been any bonus to be had. Why would any corporation give bonus money to employees who failed? One who knew they would get bailout money no matter what they did.

Fail or succeed. That is what capitalism is. obama wanted to prove capitalism failed by propping up AIG and having these bonus payouts come out to the public and anger them.

Have you see obama say to follow any contract recently? For that matter follow the rule of law or Constitution? Whether obama likes the fact of the hedge fund with Chrysler, they had a contract that was first to be paid over anyone else. Obama doesn’t care about contracts.

Yeah, I care about this obama game being played.

Anyone got the link to democrats and AIG? There has got to be one.

But last year, AIG paid close attention to the polls and bet big on Democrats, giving them about 70 percent of its contributions. And the two people AIG singled out for its greatest financial support were Barack Obama and Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., chairman of the upper chamber's banking committee. The two split about $204,000 in contributions. AIG also spent more than $21 million lobbying the Democratic Congress from 2007 to 2008.

Well, here is my answer to the link to AIG.

A smokescreen re-story to hide the fact that Chrysler will not be returning the bailout money it received- it’s going right to the UAW, and the taxpayers are getting screwed. But hey, let’s keep the spotlight on AIG.

Sickening, and this country is sick, being run by some very sick people.

Performance bonuses are paid on profits, if they made profits give the tax payers money back.

You sound if you think the taxpayers would actually get their money back from the gubmint.

I got this bridge in....

No I sound like the tax payer is getting screwed and some people want to change the subject. Put the crooks at AIG in jail where they belong and stop supporting this BS about bonus's they did not earn.

I said if they were due a performance bonus they had to make a profit. You do not reward people for not making a profit and losing money. If they made a profit and deserved a bonus then they don't need our money. Simple, sorry about your bifocals!!!

Then I said the whole bunch at AIG were nothing but a bunch of crooks. If you support tarp and a rush toward a Marx style capitalism that is your problem.

Ooh, AIG gave their employees bonuses, something they were contractually obligated to do. Don’t care.

Do you also support the union retirement contracts for GM and Chrysler?

LOL

That's quite a leap considering what I posted to you.

I question whether you think taxpayers will get their money back and you conclude that I support Marxist economies.

Amazing reading and comprehension skills you have there, real genius.

Paulson always gave to both parties and you can bet any politician that needed a ride in the company planes of Goldman got it.

Again, have the taxpayers ever got their money back? The politicians are always saying they're going to return it, when has that ever happened?

You seem to have a problem with the word "if"

If

Definition: In case that; granting, allowing, or supposing that; introducing a condition or supposition.
