Ooh, AIG gave their employees bonuses, something they were contractually obligated to do.

Don’t care.

When the heat gets to hot in one place another fire miraculously springs up somewhere else.

According to the article, all the bonuses were awarded before financial problems hit the company and before they took government funds.

I guess what got me was Drudge running it in big bold letters as his lead story, so I think, ahhh, the flu is winding down here’s the next distraction, I honestly feel like the media is just running all this as something is going on behind the scenes, something big, must be Israel or something, but something’s up.

Performance bonuses are paid on profits, if they made profits give the tax payers money back.

But if you believe in Karl Marx Capitalism have at it.

I admit I have not followed this as close as I should have but were ‘performance’ bonuses contractual? It was my understanding that the 165 or so million in ‘retention’ bonuses were contractual. so is this ‘previously undisclosed’ performance bonus package part of a contract with AIG and their employees?

Yep. Chrysler bondholders are the next target—so stir up the Sheeple with AIG redux...

To be honest, I don't even care anymore about the AIG fiasco, something bigger is going on behind the scenes ... This is just leading down some rabbit whole for another week or two

I believe this is old news. Could be wrong, but I think this was on Bloomberg months ago.

Drudge is running it now in big bold letters, so I doubt it’s old news ...

You’re right. The story is a distraction. The Dems love to have the press kick around rich corporate employees. It distracts from Diane Feinstein’s husband raking in big money thanks to his wife’s machinations. It distracts from the millions in contracts that John Murtha’s nephew has gotten. It distracts from that incredibly stupid jet buzzing in New York- and the fact Obama refuses to release the photos that were supposedly taken. Let’s face it. A lot of the top execs at some of these companies got bonuses that are ridiculous, but I don’t think that hundreds of employees at AIG are crooks or dishonest. I wish I was smart enough to work there. But the “rich” are an incredibly useful bogeyman for Obama and the Democrats. Oh, and I think Israel is gonna attack Iran.

I let it up to you or someone else to figure it out, but here’s the article that I recalled reading way back when.

Hope it helps.

What a lot of manure. They are pushing this information now, while Freddie and Fannie are pushing billions in loans that will never be paid back.

Yeah. We are being played. Again.

Do you also support the union retirement contracts for GM and Chrysler?
