This thread is about the way a possible presidential candidate handles both her own family problems and what effect the behavior of her children may have upon the way she formulates policy. (We already know, for example, that a "gay" child had the effect of encouraging Dick Cheney to endorse same-sex marriage.)

Wrong, this thread is about Bristol promoting teen pregnancy prevention.  Sarah is pro-life and so is her daughter.  Sarah isn't promoting sex outside of marriage.  It is you who is fixated on the sex life of Bristol Palin.  You try to turn every Sarah Palin thread into some kind of condemnation of Bristol (the slut, as you call her), and how it damaged her mother's moral authority and her aspirations to be a GOP candidate.

You can type away from the safety of your PC, trembling and foaming at the mouth, repeating the mantra of 'sinner, sinner' towards Bristol.  It's a free country, but realize that behavior speaks volumes about you, and it isn't flattering.   Maybe you simply can't cope with the fact that nobody is suggesting that Bristol's situation is optimal, or even particularly good.  You're fighting a battle against shadows.  If that excites you, fine - just don't drag everyone else down to your miserable level.

I shouldn't bother replying to your deranged post because you are nothing but a crazy fanatic bible thumper and a hypocrite, to boot!

But just note this - no matter what hatred you spew against Sarah and her daughter, you are just a pea in a pod. What matters is that Sarah is a true, genuine leader, and a force in the GOP with or without your vote. Your opinion of me is worth nothing, except a laugh.

Wrong, this thread is about Bristol promoting teen pregnancy prevention.

Only in a purely nominal sense. There would be no Bristol thread at all if her mother were not running, de facto, for President. Bristol just happens to be--how do you want me to put it charitably?--what?--a girl who got herself in trouble and who, by virtue of her mother's position, is now exposing herself as a kind of semi-orthodox, waffling (abstience is not realistic, now realistic), extra-biblical spokeswoman against teenage pregnancy.

You seem to want strong, intelligent, attractive female leaders. If I understand your posts here on FR that seems to be kind of your theme song. Great. My advice to you is that leadership of that sort only gets stronger if it reflects classic, western, biblical truth. I was a HUGE supporter of Sarah Palin until I realized her native intelligence, which is formidable, was largely uninformed, (probably because she attends a kind of rattle-the-walls AG church). You simply can't seek to be a moral leader if you don't make moral decisions in your own family. If your family is in the spotlight and is acting irresponsibly, you should make it clear you don't agree with your daughter and her lover's decision. It's as ancient as Jesus, Gloria. Children deserve a mother and a father--and Sarah should say so. Jesus didn't say "what God has joined together let no man put asunder--unless they're nineteen." He said anything else is adultery.
