As the thread police have seen fit, however, to keep this about the wonderful prospect of a Jeb-Mitt-Sarah “listening tour,” the problem I have with Jeb, first and foremost, is that he comes from a family has had active contempt for the last real conservative to hold the office. Two terms as a more conservative Governor than his brother or father give plenty of reasons. They all are class acts, and despite deviations from conservative orthodoxy,. GHWB and GWB never had ‘contempt’ for Reagan and in many respects followed Reagan’s lead. eg GWB was a genuinely prolife President, as recent reversals can attest, and his SCOTUS picks support.
Nevertheless, let this effort play out before you condemn it. Dont pre-judge it.
