Of course the inverse of your position would be: the GOP, if it wants to survive; pinning its hopes to her, or someone like her.

Sadly, I think the smear campaign put forth by the media and Saturday Night Live last year did her in. The impression was crafted in way too many minds and its a lasting one.

I’m not sure its a preconceived impression she can overcome. Naturally, I’d like to be proved wrong, but I don’t see that happening.
