Palin needs to be on her toes every minute, as most of the GOPer's involved in this still want to marginalize her.

That's what I see. She doesn't need them, but they need to use her - for now.

Like McCain who got a tremendous boost form Sarah as his running mate, they know that they need her to gain attention to their new little club.

I think Palin learned a lot from the way that McCain treated her after he brought her on to just be a pretty face with conservative ideas that he didn't believe in and immediately silenced her.

He got what he wanted. An energetic campaign when Plain was speaking, and Obama as President.
