Just to be practical - who is picking up after them? Goats do leave deposits on the lawn and occasionally I am guess that they may emit some co2 during the process of leaving these deposit.

Just to be practical - who is picking up after them? Goats leave pellets similar to deer. They don't generally require any cleanup. It's not like cow patties. I turn my goats into my yard on occasion but they tend to like to scratch themselves on the house so I don't make a constant habit of it.
