Unlike Romney's "National Council for a New America," Free Republic is a conservative site!

You gotta be independent - do what you need to do. Teach someone daily what conservatism is, freep on your own. Make it a lifestyle, not one event. LOL, I live in MA, home of kerry and kennedy,,,,no one here wants to be taught about conservatism,,,hell my whole town voted for obama.......conservatism is a lost cause here!

But a tournament consumes a lot of folks too.Sure, but it's mainly over one day. The setting up, etc. can be done by committee. Beyond that, it's people on site during the day. Not like the Brat Booth which requires 5-6 people in 4 hour shifts, morning through evening, for 3 days. That's intensive.
I'm going to talk to our current prez, who's a member of our CC, to see what he thinks...

Hopefully, Fox/Rush/Sean/Levin/Beck/Savage are slowly opening the eyes of the masses. I humbly submit we should add Goldberg to that list. His bestseller comes out in paperback June 2:

What are you, six years old? You require instant gratification?
Things take time. Were you expecting the world to change on April 16th?

I read quite well...
That is the problem...
I did read where for one sentence you mention your opposition to this legislative atrocity, but in the rest of your post you chastise instead of sympathize with what happened to AU72's son. Seems as a fellow conservative, one with strong opposition to such measures, you would be much more understanding of her son's plight.
What really then becomes interesting is that for all I have seen here on FR you support the very man who created the betrayal of conservative principles, the plan you are so opposed to.
That is confusing to say the least...

IMO, you have the patience of a saint by not dropping the ZOT! on some of them. Goes to show how tolerant you really are, even though you don’t have to be. But they’ll resent you anyway...sigh.
Are you sure you aren’t just Anti-Mormon? HMMMMM? LOL!

Thanks for expressing in words what I have been thinking. I too have had it with the DC elites and the political aristocratic in Washington. Mittens isn’t some one I could support at all. I only supported McCain because he “earned it” his Viet-Nam experience. I was rationalization at the time and I know it. I was a Fred Head in the spring of 08. Then I had to make a decision and it was Mac. It all changed when Gov. Palin was welcomed to the world. She understand Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Gov. Palin is a Constitutionality. She will defend it, support it, and govern by it.
