Unlike Romney's "National Council for a New America," Free Republic is a conservative site!

Hum...

Interesting...

Especially the part about not conforming over a non criminal personal decision and being ok with that as well as getting fines over health care choices...

I can see why you would support Mitt...

Not a Catholic here, so I wouldn't have known. :-)

I hope it isn't patented as I would hate to get in dutch with that Church.

Think they would mind us, thinking of politics, using it?

Perhaps they could change theirs to CCINO - Conservative Catholics In Name Only!

But that is sort of like Compassionate Conservatism, isn't it? As Conservatism is compassionate in it's essence isn't Catholicism Conservative in it's founding philosophies?

Thanks for the update! If they say 15% - I’ll say 25% - IMO, all polls/pooling cannot be trusted. Didn’t realize he was that old! Hopefully, he’ll stay around for two terms. Thanks again.

Sigh!

After reading the great post by JR and replying to you I began to read through the responses and just as I expected after the first 50 to 100 or so those that just don't get it began their diatribes one to the other concerning whose GOP candidate is/was better for the "Party".

Again a large sigh!

Yeah, yeah, yeah. He’s a spender. He also was one of the thieves in the house bank scandal.

NOBODY is perfect. Even Duncan Hunter.

I’ll never forget the time that the rest of us tried to explain to Duncan Hunter supporters that EVERYONE on television wears makeup and they just could not accept that Hunter would actually wear makeup.

Wow. The bug zapper thread. My family was considering an intervention when I spent about three days trying to read through the whole thing. :P

One one of the other threads someone posted some pro abortion quotes of Mitt from 2007. Makes me think his “conversion” isn’t genuine.

I was pretty passionate about the 2010 elections already. When 0 did his little presser the other day and dismissed about a million people who attended the Tea Parties around the country as nothing more than a fringe element, I got REALLY angry. I’m all in now and will do whatever it takes to get good people to represent us. “It’ll do” incumbents have to go.

That's not a problem at all!

The problem is differentiating Consevative VS Republican. Conservatives are being blamed for what the republicans did for the last 8 years, and are now being blamed by the elites as being the real problem with the republican party! I'm an American FIRST, And a CONSERVATIVE second. I have NO loyalty to this republican party what so ever!

Excuse me? Do you live here in MA? Do you know what the laws are here? The law is that if you don’t have healthcare you get fined, period. Just like if you speed you get a ticket, period. Healthcare may be a personal decision but here in MA if you chose not to have healtcare you get fined. Here in MA not having healtcare IS a crime. If you read my post you would see where I say I DO NOT AGREE WITH IT. Perhaps a remedial reading course is something you should look into.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. He’s a spender. He also was one of the thieves in the house bank scandal.

Total BS. But don't let facts get in your way.

NOBODY is perfect. Even Duncan Hunter.

True. No one said he was.

I’ll never forget the time that the rest of us tried to explain to Duncan Hunter supporters that EVERYONE on television wears makeup and they just could not accept that Hunter would actually wear makeup.

I don't give a cr@p if someone wears make up. That isn't how I evaluate candidates.

Lot of staffing needed for a Volunteer group...

Define "lots". We have a membership of 66, most of whom sign up for our breakfasts/dinners/Peanut Day. We also get a decent number to stand outside in front of stores in December to ring the Salvation Army bell.

I have a cousin who for years put on a tournament in Southern California. He had a side business of building golf clubs, and put this on to raise money to be donated to a cancer fund. I know his overhead was reasonable, and he had volunteers who helped. But it seems to me his manpower needs were in reason. What's your thoughts on this?

I’m just curious how “FR” is going to “rebel”,,,,,teaparties, calling congresscritters, senators, etc. etc. etc. seems no one in Washington is listening, they haven’t listened for awhile, I’m just wondering what new form of rebelling is going to take place.
