Unlike Romney's "National Council for a New America," Free Republic is a conservative site!

That assertion about Saracuda is, er, a subject of some dispute. Like you folks claiming it should put up or shut up.

Palin voted for Romney. That must make her a MITTEN.
Now you're just making them face reality again. You'll never be popular on here doing that.

“the party”
That’s why we need to organize NOW for 2010. CONSERVATIVES need to come together now and support candidates who will run against the “good ole boy” network. We need to have these RINOS hearing our footsteps in their sleep, knowing that we are fed up with US working for the government instead of government working for us.

Your son had ample opportunity and ample warning about having health insurance in MA, if he could not afford it there is a program called Commonwealth Care among others which covers people with limited or no income and there is also Mass Health, so there is no excuse for your son not to have health care, it's his own fault he got fined the $762.
I do not agree with the everyone must have healthcare crap, but as a resident of MA it's what one had to do. Your son chose not to, therefore, he paid the price for not conforming.

Thank you, Jim. I'm a bit mystified as to why there seems to be some confusion about this issue. The Romneyites on this board are having a hard time getting the message...

We’re doing that, but the candidates have to be there. Plus, the RINOs aren’t going to give up so easily. They’re talking about running Ridge against Toomey for instance. And we’ve got this RINOS for a new America or whatever it is to contend with.

If Romney or Giuliani is the Republican candidate 4 years from now, what is FR going to do? Excellent question, should be interesting to see the answer.

It’s not so much the overhead, as it is that it lasts 3 days, it’s a lot of work, and we’re part of a larger food court. We don’t get near the income for the time we put in. Our annual 1-day pancake and chili dinners rake in more than double the amount. So do our Peanut Day events that we actually share with the other club in town.

I sometimes get the impression that Freerepublic is Republican before conservative. Oh, make no mistake, the RNC and various GOP National organizations have their operatives here trying to whip up support for the party over Conservative principles.
Clear giveaways are those posts which tell us that so-and-so Conservative candidate is "unelectable" and that instead we should support so-and-so "electable" RINO candidate, or otherwise blasts us for being "purists" or "unrealistic."
The McCain threads AFTER he got the GOP nomination but BEFORE he selected Sarah Palin as his running mate are full of those types of posts.

I looked, but couldn’t find such a statement...it could only be possibly derived from the fact that Palin said she could not support McCain because of his stance on the Arctic Wildlife Refuge and the fact that Romney won the AK Caucus/Convention with 43%...the other choices with Huckabee and Ron Paul...magritte

My acid reflux came back full force the day I marked my ballot next to McCain’s name but I told myself I could tolerate 4 yrs of McCain to have Sarah.
