True, but I lived in Florida for Jeb's entire administration. And if you think he was a RINO, you should look at Christie now. THAT'S a RINO. Fact of the matter is he is absolutely correct. We all talk about Reagan like just saying the name wins votes. I'm not sure how much more out of touch we can be by continually harping on a man who hasn't been in office for 20 years.

We need to bring Reagan's message forward, but the GOP desperately needs to update the people delivering the message.

I agree with that. By 2012 nobody under 35 will have any meaningful memory of 1989, let alone 1980 ... and we certainly cannot expect the public schools to teach history. Therefore, we need to stop relying on the Reagan name as if it alone will win elections, any more than the Lincoln name will win contemporary elections for Republicans.

100% agree. GOP needs fresh faces espousing conservative SOLUTIONS. Reagan was great but his name alone won’t win elections.
