True story:
35yr ago I had a Berkley type teacher (high school) for Psychology.
He discussed this issue of black boys/men grabbing their units (he himself was a black man).
We had one fellow that occasionally showed up for class and when he did he was very obviously stoned.
So the teacher Babalou (his name) went on over the course of a week on this subject of why black men/boys grab there unit.
His theory was that being fatherless the act of grabbing thier unit constantly was a reaffirmation of checking their masculinity.
And he pointed out the more insecure or nervous fatherless/no male role models become the more the will grab and check to see if their units are still there.
To prove his point one day this black stoned no show student shows up.
So Babalou spoke up to him as he came in late and put him at the center of attention (having told us beforehand watch how many times he grabs his unit).
Well he grabbed and we all laughed and the more nervous he got he would pick up the speed of grabbing his unit...by now the class was LOLROTF and he was like whatcha laughin about dang ah man and picking up speed on that hand to unit checking.
Dont know if Babalous theory was true but was one of the funniest moments in hell hole of a school.
